Nuno Silva is a saxophonist, pedagogue and sound designer of Portuguese roots specially aiming for new interdisciplinary creations and sound design.

He obtained his Master in Performance - Saxophone at Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Tilburg and Master of Music Education at Aveiro University in Aveiro, Portugal.

Since the beginning of his musical activity often collaborates with composers, dancers and actors in order to create new repertoire for the instrument and exploring new paths of expression performing it all around Europe.

He's the co-founder of the ION collective an interdisciplinary music ensemble, [UΛN] duo, saxophone duo together with Hannah Koob and also Vector Reed quintet. Usually collaborate with ensembles such as Radio Filharmonisch Orkest Ensemble Klang, Oniros Ensemble, 9x13 and institutions like De Link, KOP, Het Park, Classic Young Masters among others.

He teaches privately at Nuno Silva-Saxophone Studio, developing both musical and pedagogical activity between Portugal and the Netherlands, where he’s based.

Nuno Silva is endorsed by Henri-Selmer Paris saxophones.
